SuperPro & SuperVent Factory-Built Chimney System
|
SuperPro features 304-alloy stainless steel for both its inner and outer walls. The mineral wool insulation is formulated for optimum performance while dramatically reducing chemically active ingredients. It provides a thermal delay that resists and contains surges of heat, keeping the outer liner cooler. SuperPro couplers are embossed which reduces moisture penetration, increasing longevity of the chimney. With these features, Selkirk Products is so confident in SuperPro that they offer a lifetime prorated warranty. Components, such as flashings have a galvalume coating, which has twice the corrosion resistance of galvanized steel. SuperPro features twist-lock connections: however, locking bands are recommended at each joint for extra security when cleaning and are required on all elbow joints, lengths between elbows and where the horizontal section of pipe attaches to the tee. SuperPro has been tested and listed to UL's 103HT Standard. The manufacturer approves its use for wood, oil, coal and gas. It's available in 6"and 8" (inner) diameters. When Double-wall black stove pipe is needed with SuperPro, use DSP Superpipe and the stovepipe to chimney adaptor. When you need 7" diameter chimney, you'll want to use SuperVent Chimney Factory-Built Chimney System.
SuperVent Chimney in 7" diameter carries a limited lifetime warranty. Max has been tested and listed to UL's 103HT Standard. The manufacturer approves its use for wood, oil, coal and gas. The couplers and the chimney's inner liner are made form 304-alloy stainless steel. The outer wall is 430 series-alloy stainless steel. Most of the components for SuperVent Chimney are the same as those for SuperPro Class-A Chimney featured on this page. The exceptions are the cathedral ceiling support box which does not have brass trim, the decorator ceiling support and black wall thimble which come with round trim collars with no brass trim, and the trim collar itself which measures 16" round and does not have brass trim. When double-wall black stovepipe is needed with SuperVent, use Superpipe. *We will contact you after you order with the exact shipping cost to ship to your area. Click here for shipping disclaimer.

In the front is the Universal Rubber Boot, Spacer kit and special mounting screws. Fits chimneys 5" to 8". Just above the rubber boot in the picture is the Universal Metal Roof Flashing Kit. The SuperPro Decorator Ceiling Support with brass trim, above left in picture, supports up to 50' and is available in 6" and 8" for flat ceilings. The Ceiling Support, shown lower left in picture, is available in 7" for flat ceilings and supports up to 50' of chimney. The Cathedral Ceiling Support with brass trim, on right in picture, supports a total of 30' of chimney (up to 15' may be below the support). This allows SuperPro to drop down through it allowing for proper clearances. A support band and ceiling trim are included. Used mainly for cathedral ceilings and is 17" tall.
The Elbow Support, shown upper right in picture, must be used with all elbow installations. Only one pair of elbows with a maximum of 6' in between is allowed. Elbow support comes in Elbow Kit available in 15 and 30 degree insulated. Elbow Kit includes two Elbows, four Locking Bands, and one Elbow Support . Locking Bands, on lower left in picture, must be used on all elbows and horizontal sections that attach to the tee. Although not required, locking bands are recommended for all joints. Use Wall Bands, on lower right in picture, midway up the first chimney length above the tee and each 8' thereafter. Maintains 2" clearance.
Roof Supports and Anchor Plate
The Roof Support Kit, above right in picture, may be used above an offset or when the height exceeds the primary support. It can be placed on a floor, ceiling, or roof and adjusts to any pitch. Supports up to 50' of chimney. The Adaptor Plate, on bottom in picture, adapts the chimney to approved factory-built fireplaces. Check with fireplace manufacturer for approval before installing.
The Firestop Attic Insulation Shield, shown on left in picture, is used when the chimney passes through a second story living space into the attic. The Attic Insulation Shield, shown in upper middle in picture, is used when passing the chimney through an unoccupied attic. Use the Firestop Radiation Shield, on right in picture, when the chimney passes from a lower living space into an upper living space or occupied attic space. The Rafter Radiation Shield, shown in front in picture, is required when the chimney is enclosed immediately below the roof.
