Silicone is the general adhesive and sealant of choice for chimney pro's. Because it bonds to just about anything, stays elastic and with stands temperatures 450*F continuous use or 500*F with intermittent use. For about everything except firebox repair! Comes in either clear or black in an easy to use caulk tube.
This is the red silicone that is rated at 550*F continuous and 600*F intermittent. RTV stands for "room temperature vulcanize" (it cures at room temperature). So when you need the highest temperature rating, this is the one to use.
This extra measure of protection in high heat situations makes this the recommended product to use when sealing joints in Saf-T Vent liner to meet the UL 1738 Listing. Can be used on pellet pipes and L Vent.
You know what can happen when you fail to repair one or two eroded or weakened mortar joints in a fireplace - it can set off a chain reaction of deterioration that leaves the firebox a real mess. Perform the needed repairs with a Homesaver Fireplace Mortar.
It is an excellent product to tuck-point between firebricks and repair broken firebricks. (Maximum application thickness is 1/8") Contains no asbestos. Designed especially to patch fireplace fireboxes, bonding firebrick to firebrick.

Mor-Flexx is a mortar and stucco repair sealant that flexes and stretches with temperature changes. It looks like mortar, but stretches like rubber. Use indoors and outdoors to span gaps of up to 3" wide, with no slumping. It can mimic the texture of many surfaces, including wood, stone, stucco, brick, mortar, composit panels, and siding; and, it is paintable. It does not dry hard and crack.
What sets IPC Furnace Cement apart is its texture. It is smooth and creamy with absolutely no grit. IPC bonds metal to metal, metal to masonry, and masonry to masonry. It will not sag, crack, crumble, shrink, or pull away when used in accordance with the instructions on the label. IPC Furnace Cement is premixed and gray in color. It is designed to withstand temperatures up to 3000 degrees F and seal against heat, vapor and steam.
Ideally, IPC Furnace Cement should be applied in temperatures above freezing. But it does have a chemical additive that inhibits freezing, making it possible to apply in temperatures down to 0 degrees F. It has a maximum application thickness of 1/4". Comes in 1 and 2 gallon buckets.
Rutland Furnace Cement is a premixed silicate cement that withstands temperatures over 2000 degrees F without failure. It adheres to firebrick, as well as metal and seals all types of stovepipe joints. It's black, non-gritty, non-asbestos formula feathers very thin to make metal-to-metal joints smoke and gas tight. Use during installation and service of furnaces, stokers, oil burners, and small woodstove repairs. Apply 1/16" - 1/4" thick. Comes in 1 pint tubs.
A ready-mixed all-purpose, high-temperature resistant furnace/refractory cement. It will bond masonry to masonry, steel to steel, and steel to masonry. It is not for exterior use. Withstands temperatures over 2700*F +. Gray in color. Each gallon will set 30 firebrick, or cover 4-6 sq. ft. when parged to a thickness of 1/8" to 1/4". Comes in resealable plastic tubs. This is the perfect cement for all interior firebox repairs.

Make your own firebrick with Rutland's Castable Refractory Cement. When mixed with water, it sets to a light brown color, hard as brick. Use it for replacing worn-out firebrick in the bottom of woodstoves, cast it into irregular shapes, or use it as a solid stone bed.
Originally developed for use in blast furnaces, this product as unbelievable strength. It can withstand temperatures up to 2200 degrees.
Sold incases of two, each 1 gallon container (12.5 lbs.) covers one square foot at 1 1/2" depth when mixed with one quart of water. Easy directions on the container.
Heat Stop II is a refractory cement for both exterior and interior use. Its mixture of clays and cement can be used to adhere clay flue tiles and to repair fireplaces, woodstoves, bake ovens, kilns, and masonry heaters. It can be forced into cracks with a trowel or putty knife. Mix with cold water for normal set time, or use warm water to quicken set time. Mortar color may be added. Resists temperatures up to 2500°F. Meets all state and national building codes.
The best application for this product is a masonry to masonry bond. Super 3000 Cement is premixed air and heat setting mortar which withstands temperatures up to 3000 degrees F and resists freezing down to 0 degrees F.
Super 3000 Cement is gray in color and has a sodium silicate binder which eliminates the need to dampen the brick during application. This makes it shrink resistant while giving it exceptional strength and workability.
Super 3000 Cement is available for troweling. The Super 3000 Cement for Troweling is without grit. It should be stored in an area where the temperature is above freezing, yet not above 90 degrees. If product freezes during shipping, it should be thawed and thoroughly mixed before using.
Coverage is 4-6 sq. ft. per gallon when applied to a thickness of 1/8" to 1/4" thick. Available in 25 lb. and 55 lb. pails.
Flue Goo is a multi-purpose furnace/refractory cement. It will bond masonry to masonry, steel to steel and steel to masonry.
Flue Goo will withstand temperatures up to 3000 degrees F without cracking or shrinking. On the other end of the temperature spectrum, Flue Goo is freeze/thaw stable; however it's still a good idea to bring it indoors in freezing weather.
Flue Goo contains no asbestos. It comes premixed and ready to use , and is water-soluble for easy cleanup. Comes in three colors: black, buff, and gray. It's packed in 1/2 gallon, 1 gallon and 3 1/2 gallon plastic tubs. It is not for exterior use.
Section 4-2-3 of NFPA 211 states that clay flue liners must be imbedded in a nonwater-soluble calcium aluminate refractory cement mixture..." Flue Goo II is such a mixture.
Flue Goo II is a specially designed, gray-colored refractory cement that is nonwater-soluble after drying.
Use Flue Goo II for flue tile installations, as well as for setting firebrick and parging the walls of smoke chambers.
It's sold in powder form in resealable, 1 gallon plastic tubs. Each gallon will set about 10 - 20 flue tiles. 30 firebrick, or will cover 4-6 sq. ft. when parged to a thickness of 1/8" - 1/4". Not for exterior use.
Lots of uses for this great product -Ten foot by 1 1/2" wide self-adhesive strip insulation forms a smoke and gas tight seal between insert and existing masonry. Use A.W. Perkins Stove And Gasket Cement to make repairs on woodburning stoves or to seal fiberglass gasket into place. This black silicate, ceramic-type cement withstands 2000°F temperatures and comes in 2.7 oz. tubes and in caulking gun cartridges.
A black silicate-ceramic stove cement adheres all types of gasket materials to airtight stoves, cements cracks in metal, bonds metal to metal and Fiberglas to metal. Good to 2000*F.
